I was given the suggestion, 'type "junk" into google', and this is what I found...
I really like these close-ups of the scrap so much more as that is the effect I really want on my piece... And these are the metals I will probably use, due to them being readily available in the college's scrap bin. I've found a lot of my own kindly donated scraps in there which I'm using again
alluminium
brass
tin
copper
iron
and steel
