As well as some amazing well known shoe designers and makers, I've also found some crazy quirky lesser known artists to make this just a little bit more interesting!
This is Volta by Jerome C Rosseau
such amazing shape and form but really classy too.
Diego Dolcini makes amazing pumps with great froms and it all looks really deco which is great for me, I may use this as a little germ of inspiration for the shape of my shoe upper. Love the metallic aspect too!
Bally is really conservative and classy, kind of Italian looking, but gorgeous all the same, loads of leather!
This is my favourite one as it has a really 20s brogue feel about it, very masculine femenine.
Rem D Koolhaas is amazing, he's the nephew of the Dutch architect of the same name and the coolest person alive without a shadow of a doubt, founder of united nude!! The heels alone are amazing and the upper is really gorgeous!
This is his exploration of shapes, by the looks of it, he started with a chair! Yes he did, just found out he used a chair design by 'Eames' to create his 'Eamz' series, the red patent heel, and the pic above used the barcelona chair as influence!
Here's some of his uncle's work...
John Fluevog, Sword heel and fruegal lizard...
These are so sculptural and I cannot convey how much I want them in a cabinet in my room, not to wear, but to be treated as ART, and appreciated like the works of Picasso, Warhol and Van Gogh! Aside from this the craftsmanship is fabulous and amazingly admirable!
I found this whilst I was searching sword heel! Its by sword and stone for a tv show as a prop but trying to find out what programme!
I'm getting so carried away now, on the same website as above I found Jenni Dutton, who uses crushed glass and fur! she's brilliant in every way, the contrast is amazing!
